Humans of Downey - David

DSC_0910

"When I retired, I had no life. Really, I had no life. I was so busy doing consulting that I had no life. My son told me, 'You know, Dad, this guy made this beautiful little place on Downey Avenue and he is selling it.' So I came to see it and bought it from him.

"I could have changed the name, but since it was so young, I kept it. I changed the menu, though, to be what my wife and I cook.

"Now I have a life because even though I'm here most of the time, I have my girlfriend, aka my wife, here with me."
~ David, owner of Mambo Grill

  1. This is a great idea for the daily photo blog. I hope you don't mind if I borrow it from time to time. There are only so many unique buildings, trees, and tourist attractions, but there are always interesting people.

    1. Barbara, you're welcome to it, but to give credit where it's due, the idea came from the Humans of New York blog (www.humansofnewyork.com, also on Facebook). Check it out, I think you too will feel inspired to try it yourself soon.
