Judgment day

Downey Municipal Court building

If you've ever filed a small claims suit or, more likely, had to pay a traffic ticket, you're familiar with the Downey courthouse.

  1. Seems like a pretty big courthouse, compared to the one here....the stained glass reminds me of church...

  2. The stained glass is nice. Who deals with the major crimes then?

  3. The Downey courthouse also serves as a branch of the Los Angeles Superior Court. That probably helps explain its size, and I imagine that they also handle major crimes. My personal experience with them, fortunately, has been limited to traffic tickets and photography. :-)
