Feeling a little run down

DSC_0865

I spotted this fence one day recently after a strong wind and thought of how everything has to eventually run down and fall apart. Sometimes I feel like this fence, like inside things aren't as strong as they use to be. Like, all it's going to take is a strong wind and I'll be leaning to one side, unable to stand up straight.

But then I think, it's not windy, I'll go ride my bike and maybe even play a round of golf today.

Shadows

Tree shadow and old man

The other day I noticed this tree and its shadow, outside of the empty Von's Market. When I went back the next day to take its picture, this old man kindly walked into the frame at just the right moment.

Sun spots

Classic Plymouth coupe

I don't know much about cars, but a few Google image searches (and the hub cap) lead me to believe that this is a 1930s or 1940s Plymouth coupe. (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.)

You know what I love most about classic cars like this? They're always so-o-o shiny! They always catch the sun and look like they're having a grand old time. I don't think even a brand new car is as shiny as a well cared for classic like this one.

The golden years

truck

Here I go again; taking pictures of things from before my years on this earth. There is something about seeing something so obviously pre-dating my existence that makes me appreciate my time more. Along one of the many streets we rode this morning during our bike ride, I saw this old pickup truck. One that most people love to see others driving but would hate the maintenance themselves.
