Celebrate!

The 4th of July is all about celebrating our independence and freedom—and for most of us, the celebration involves traditional American food such as fresh corn-on-the cob. Here, we're teaching the next generation the joys of celebrating!

The park's the place

There are lots of places to enjoy breakfast in Downey, but these Public Works workers chose to take their break and eat their El Taco breakfast (see El Taco, nobody can eat just once!) al fresco, at Furman Park.

Embassy Suites in Downey is a beautiful hotel. I really like how they have designed the interior - like a courtyard and open on the inside to all the levels. 

Looking down from the 8th floor, this picture is of a cozy-looking little eating area set in a gazebo on the ground floor level. While I have admired it several times, I've yet to have the chance to actually eat there.
