Power lines

IMG_3965 as Smart Object-1

Hundreds of overhead power lines stretch along the side of the Rio Hondo riverbed. Looking at them, you get a sense of what it takes to generate the power we consume on a daily basis.

IMG_0420 as Smart Object-1According to Wikipedia, power lines date back to the late 1800s. I wonder why this process has not gone through some kind of paradigm shift. I know there have been refinements and improvements, but I wonder if some company out there is close to some kind of wireless energy.
