Our local Blockbuster Video rental store closed its doors a few weeks ago. The big yellow letters and the torn movie ticket logo—for a long time, Blockbuster meant something fun and cheap to do on a Friday night. You'd stop by to pick up one movie, and come home with three or four.
Then that red envelope started creeping in. You didn't have to stop at Blockbuster any more—Netflix delivers to your door. And with their Instant Queue, you don't even need that envelope.
