And the verdict is out

Los Angeles Courthouse, Downey

Now that I'm done with jury duty, I can tell you all about my case! Well, I'm sure you don't want to know every detail but what I will say is, out of all the courts I've been to for jury duty (Los Angeles, Compton, and now Downey), Downey is by far superior in every way.

I've always felt this was a laid back community, but this week and last week really proved me right. The bailiff, for example, was so polite and very easy to communicate with, a concept I am not used to from other courts. From the security guards at the front door to the judge in his throne, everyone was as nice as could be. Of course they were official and to the letter of the law, but you get what I'm saying. I actually wouldn't mind getting jury duty again if it was here. (That was not a request though!)
