Fall colors

Fall colors
Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.
~Albert Camus
The peak time to view fall colors in New England this year was the weekend after Columbus Day. I know this after chatting with a librarian in a small New England town — three weeks later.

It's no wonder, though, that us southern Californians have a hard time keeping track of such things. This year, our leaves are just now starting to turn and drop. This beautiful tree is covered with leaves of green, gold, orange, and red.
